Mastering for Spotify
and every streaming service.

Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube adjust volume automatically. For your song to still sound great afterwards, it needs the right loudness and enough headroom against distortion.

Report with streaming table

The mastering report shows how much Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music and co. turn your song up or down.

What does −14 LUFS on Spotify mean?

By default Spotify normalises songs to about −14 LUFS, YouTube too, and Apple Music to about −16 LUFS. A louder master is simply played back quieter – it does not get worse as long as it is mastered cleanly. A master that is too quiet, however, can sound thin.

That is why TrackDropPro does not blindly master to −14 LUFS but to a loudness that suits the style, with a safe true peak. If you want maximum dynamics, choose the "Streaming" preset at −14 LUFS.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to master to exactly −14 LUFS?

No. Spotify only turns louder songs down. What matters is a clean true peak below −1 dBTP so nothing distorts during conversion. For maximum dynamics there is the "Streaming" preset at −14 LUFS.

Where can I see the measurements?
